Food and sound are both languages beyond the world. They are always more powerful than we imagine.
It’s also a reminiscence of my first year staying in Belgium: Sleidinge

Sound of Monkeys from HKZBG (2022) (1’55”)

2-Channel Soundscape Work

Before I left Hong Kong (studying in Belgium), I recorded these interesting sound from monkeys. They’re natural composers. When I remix and edit the sound in Belgium, I found that the interesting sound in HK is always overlooked…

The Last Moments of Ma Shi Po (2022) (5′)

Video Installation with 2-channel audio

Ma Shi Po is a small area with several villages and farmland in Fanling, Hong Kong. From 1994 some areas were developed as tall residential skyscrapers. In 2014 the ‘North-East New Territories New Development Areas Planning’ bill was passed in the legislative council with many dissenting voices. In 2020, the East area of Ma Shi Po has been completely razed to develop new buildings. In 2022 the speed of razing was increased. So I decided to document the remaining trees, farms, wild animals and villages and employed those audiovisual materials in my installation.
