This is my first composition for the Paetzold recorder. While composing this piece, I imagined the various sounds of the rainforest 🌳 : the rushing wind💨 and the cries of wild animals. Much like a real rainforest, the ‘weather and mood’ of the music shift frequently.

I always watched this animation when I was studying in primary school. There are five cute main characters which I like very much. However, they are actually aliens and want to invade the Earth…
Sometimes these five characters come together and mumble their names. This is a way to boost their morale for invading the Earth (but they have never succeed). I am really impressed from the sound of their resonance, and that’s why I composed different pitches and characteristics for imitating each of them.
I set this piece for soprano because the voice of Ta-ma-ma is in an relatively high register. The voices of Ku-ru-ru and Gi-ro-ro are imitated better in a hoarse voice by the soprano than a male voice. It is better if the piece is performed in a resonant room.
In this piece, I am using five characters to portray a narrative in which their interactions are the driving forces of a musical narrative.
