屈原的遺言係咩??? blublublu~~~
Qu Yuan is a poet remembered in connection to the supposed origin of the Dragon Boat Festival. Villagers carried their dumplings and boats to the middle of the river and desperately tried to save Qu Yuan after he immersed himself in the Miluo, because of the failure from his lifelong political dream, but were too late to do so. However, in order to keep fish and evil spirits away from his body, they beat drums and splashed the water with their paddles, and they also threw rice into the water both as a food offering to Qu Yuan’s spirit and also to distract the fish away from his body. It is a joke about the Dragon Boat Festival: What is the last word spoken by Qu Yuan? Blublublublu….~~~

“Chur”, a unique word in Cantonese that does not have a corresponding Chinese character, carries multiple meanings. It can serve as an adjective describing a challenging or tiring task, refer to a person who exhausts others (demanding or bombarding someone), or denote the act of breathing deeply.
This word resonates with my life in Hong Kong after graduating with a master’s degree in Belgium. I often feel exhausted while seeking opportunities to compose music, earning money, pursuing my dream of forming a contemporary ensemble in Hong Kong, and learning some important aspects of being a composer that are not directly related to composing…
