Poo-Wee-Pee (2024)

Poo-Wee-Pee is a toilet-related sound project with elements of choreography, installation, contemporary musical performance and animation. The purpose of this project is the reflection on pooping, peeing and farting: Why are they always considered disgusting even though we proceed them every day? Why cannot we treat them seriously? We have spent a lot of time in pooping, peeing and farting throughout our whole life, but have you paid attention to their sound? Do you have time to do it? They are the signal of the body and health, which is why we should pay attention to and respect them. Life is simple. If you can eat, sleep, walk and poop smoothly, your life has been blessed already, while pooping (or going to the toilet) is always ignored. The new presentation of such ‘private’ actions in a public space breaks an invisible wall in our culture: They should not be hidden or avoided in daily life and conversations. They are part of nature and our bodies. They are hilarious but serious!
